Trust, our enduring value

With 40 years of experience, Kipa sources the specialty chemical raw materials Iranian industry needs through a network of reputable international suppliers, and places them reliably in the hands of manufacturers.

Who We Are

A steadfast supply partner to industry

Kipa, a Tehran-based specialty-chemicals trading and distribution company, has been part of the supply chain of Iranian industry for more than 40 years. From the beginning, our mission has been to build a dependable link between domestic manufacturers and reputable international suppliers, so that industry receives the raw materials it needs with quality, reliability, and continuity.

Even through the most complex foreign-trade conditions, Kipa has always stayed focused on keeping Iranian industry reliably supplied with raw materials. Experience, knowledge of global markets, and long-term collaboration with trading partners in France and the United Arab Emirates allow Kipa to serve the needs of a wide range of Iranian industries.

At several points, Kipa has been among the pioneers of importing specialty raw materials into Iran. In the years after the war ended, as trade relations with France opened, Kipa was among the first importers of the polymers and petroleum solvents produced by Total. In the 1990s, following the changes in the former Soviet Union, Kipa was the first private company to import Russian polystyrene, SBR, and butyl rubber, and in the 2000s it held the representation of the polymer division of Eni of Italy.

Today Kipa focuses on supplying raw materials for uPVC profiles, motor oils, industrial lubricants, polymer and engineering compounds, footwear, adhesives, and polymer bitumen. What sets Kipa apart is the combination of experience, stable and trusted relationships with reputable international suppliers, a broad domestic sales network, and financial and logistics strength. A set of capabilities that, over four decades, has made Kipa a brand customers trust.

Products

What we supply

Kipa sources and supplies more than 50 specialty additives, polymers, and engineering compounds, including:

Specialty Polymers
  • Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS)A styrenic thermoplastic elastomer that pairs rubber-like elasticity with the easy processing of plastics. Widely used to modify plastics and bitumen and to formulate adhesives.
  • Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene (SIS)A thermoplastic elastomer of styrene and isoprene blocks, valued for soft, tacky elasticity and clean processing. The backbone of pressure-sensitive adhesives, sealants, and other flexible, impact-resistant applications.
  • Styrene-Ethylene/Butylene-Styrene (SEBS)The hydrogenated form of SBS: rubber-like without vulcanization, with far greater resistance to heat, UV and weathering. Strong, flexible and easy to process, it is widely blended to upgrade other polymers and for soft-touch parts.
  • AntioxidantsStabilizers that protect polymers from thermal and oxidative degradation, preserving physical, mechanical and optical properties through processing and in service.
  • UV stabilizersLight stabilizers, including HALS, that guard plastics against UV-induced breakdown, helping to limit chalking, embrittlement and fading and to extend outdoor service life.
Lubricants & Oils
  • Lubricant additives & packagesPerformance chemistry blended into base oils (typically 0.1–30%): antioxidants, corrosion and wear inhibitors, detergents and dispersants, pour-point depressants, viscosity-index improvers and more, supplied as single additives or complete packages.
  • SEPS: viscosity-index improverA hydrogenated styrene-isoprene copolymer that improves a lubricant’s viscosity-temperature behaviour, with high thickening efficiency, good low-temperature flow and excellent shear stability.
PVC
  • Impact modifiersAdditives that toughen rigid polymers such as PVC, PS and SAN, raising impact strength and flexibility so finished parts withstand stress without cracking.
  • Processing aidsAcrylic copolymers, highly compatible with PVC, that promote fast, uniform gelation and smooth melt flow, improving output, surface finish and consistency.
  • Titanium dioxide (TiO₂)The benchmark white pigment, valued for opacity, brightness and durability across paints, coatings, plastics, paper and inks. Available in pigment grade for whiteness and ultrafine grade for transparency and UV absorption.
  • Foaming agent: azodicarbonamide (ADCA)A widely used chemical blowing agent: a crystalline solid that releases gas on decomposition (around 201–205 °C), self-extinguishing once the flame is removed, with clean, non-staining residue.
  • Foaming agent: expandable microspheres (MS)Thermally expandable microspheres (around 6–40 µm) with a thermoplastic copolymer shell that expand on heating to lighten and texture a matrix, used in inks, automotive coatings and injection-moulded thermoplastics.
Rubber
  • Ethylene-propylene rubber (EPM)A fully saturated ethylene-propylene copolymer with excellent resistance to heat, oxidation and weathering, used in seals, hoses, wire and cable insulation, and as an impact modifier for plastics.
  • Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM)An ethylene-propylene rubber with a small diene content that allows conventional sulfur curing. Outstanding weather, ozone and heat resistance make it a mainstay of automotive sealing, roofing membranes, hoses and gaskets.
  • Synthetic (butyl) rubber reclaimReclaim from used butyl tubes that speeds mixing and extrusion and cuts energy use, well suited to inner tubes, tyre inner liners, adhesives and cable compounds.
  • Blowing agent (sulfonyl hydrazide)Hydrazide-type foaming agents that release nitrogen efficiently on decomposition, leaving a clean, non-staining, non-discolouring residue.
